For the old-school Christian, a daily "quiet time" used to be somewhat of a no brainer. Although occasionally legalistic and pursued out of duty, it was a healthy practice. For us post-evangelical, post-institution, well...post-everything people doing our best to follow Christ in today's culture we need to nenew a rhythm of quieting ourselves to seek out God's heart. Our most recent attempt at this within the Adullam network is called Soulace Space. This is not one more church program, but an intentional space in which we remove ourselves from the trappings of the urgent to listen and seek out God's heart for his people.
Currently, myself and a couple others are beginning this practice Fridays @ 6:30am at the 24 hour Starbucks connected to Barnes & Nobles near Colorado Blvd. and Cherry Creek Dr. south. If this location is convienient for you, heck, even if it isn't, come join us!
...love you, dude, for ALL your soul-filled growth!!!
