summer break

from blogging that is...

Angie, JP, and I just returned from our usual mid-summer trip to Indiana to visit the folks. Lots to catch up on now- fund raising push, lots of Missio and Adullam related stuff to get done, so blogging will likely take a bit of a back seat for a few more days. Lots o' thoughts swirling around but man, I need some time for prayer and reflection before trying to make sense of any of them...

Thanks again for reading this blog and allowing me the freedom to process thoughts on God, culture, justice, transformation, and whatever else may be rolling through my often times cluttered consciousness. The comments and discussions of folks that stop by so far in 2009 have been great...

As we head into the second half of the year, may this little Nouwen prayer lead us forward...

May all your expectations be frustrated.
May all your plans be thwarted.
May all your desires be withered into nothingness.
That you may experience the powerlessness and the poverty of a child and sing and dance in the love of God the Father, the Son and the Spirit.

And may we all do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly... today.
