What's in a street name?

I hear some of the most interesting names among my friends in the street community. Kickback, Red, Chain, Angel, ShadeTree just to name a few. I don’t even know some of their real names! I’ve been wondering about how these creative monikers have developed and stuck on these guys. There are a number of reasons as to why they’ve decided to use certain names. For example, Red, has red hair.

But in my estimation it seems these street names have come about based upon three basic criteria:

1) I am what I have. 2) I am what I do. 3) I am what others say about me.

The Network

In January of the new year I will be taking on an additional role that I couldn't be more excited about. I will continue to direct Access and in addition I'll become the co-director of Network Coffeehouse. Network has played such a crazy key role in the spiritual formation of me and several of my friends these past few years. Honestly, I don't where I'd be without it.

If you'd like to come down to Network please don't hesitate to connect with me. I'd love to introduce you to some of my dearest friends. Or if you'd like to help us keep plugging along financially let me know! I'd love to chat about that.
